A.W. Lockyer actually started in retail. We had a very busy shop on Clapham Common throughout the 80’s and 90’s, but the growth of the supermarkets and other generic high street shops in the area made it hard for us to make a living. So, we made the decision to move over into catering and set up on Covent Garden Market in 1998 with the same values of personal service, customer care and quality.

When we started up most of our work was in central London, but as time has moved on we have moved out to include the Home Counties. We are still a family run company who are very much hands on.

We are now based in the heart of London's New Covent Garden Market, working from our temperature controlled warehouse, we supply pubs, restaurants, golf clubs, hotels and other caterers in London and around the Home Counties and would welcome the opportunity to work with you. For 6 days a week (Mon - Sat) we would be devoted to ensuring we'd deliver the best quality, market fresh produce to your kitchen!

We are well aware the all clients are different, and are proud that our attention to detail is second to none. At Lockyer, as a business, we are small enough to care but big enough to cope.
